What we know so far

All training organised under the Careers Australia RTO is subject to Voluntary Administration and needs to follow a strict process to ensure the transition of data and achievements.

Master Electricians CEO, Malcolm Richards, has been working with the Queensland State government, Electrogroup and the Electrical Trades Union to streamline these transitional arrangements, to ensure that all apprentices and students will be transitioned as soon as possible.  

In the near future, The Queensland Department of Education and Training will be sending advice to all impacted employers, apprentices, trainees and students to confirm that they will not be able to complete their training with Careers Australia, but that they may continue their training if they  transition to another pre-qualified supplier (PQS), as subsidies follow the student in Queensland.

Members who booked training through Master Electricians will be advised the next steps by our team, once we know.

Members who booked directly with Careers Australia will need to make contact with the Careers Australia Voluntary Administrator for further information (see below for details)

  • Employers of apprentices and trainees can contact their nominated Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider to make arrangements to change their supervising registered training organisation (SRTO).
